Power stearing crapping out?!

Well ever since i got the car, when im on it, you hear a loud noise, always figured it was my power steering pump(so pl told me)

well last week or so, if going very slow/stop, if i turn the wheel, its makes a rough turn/and the noise from the power steering pump gets pretty loud....

any ideas? could it just be a pump? or anything more major?

or impossible to tell without looking at it...

thanks
cory

Drop ur belt and spin the Pump see if it spins smoth and easy . Check ur waterpump too i had same thing happen but my wp was making the noise and the weep hole is right above the belt and ur belt will slip making it seam like a ps failure.

Re: Power stearing crapping out?!

I had several power steering pumps go out, I wouldn't doubt if that's your problem. Fortunately, I had a connection at the dealer and got them fixed under warranty.
