Talking Potential new owner needs guidance

Well I am looking at a 95 z28 on monday w about 70k miles on it. Only mods are rims and Borla exhaust. It was painted 2 yrs ago. The a/c doesnt work which is fine and susposedly ttops dont leak. This will be my first purchase of a unibody car. What are tell tale signs this car was involved in a major accident? In general with these cars anything to look out for/problematic. The only known prob is that on reverse it does stay in gear unless you hold it there(syncros). Is that a huge job to part take? Thx for any helpdul insight.

Re: Potential new owner needs guidance

If the car has been raced or run hard, the back axles are a known weak point, especially with a standard transmission which loads them a little more. If sticky tires were used, you can expect problems. The axle size may have been right for the weight of the car, but not the power that they put down.
