Possible SS purchase
Possible SS purchase
I've been looking for a while for a decent deal on a CHEAP SS daily driver. I came across this a few nights ago on Autotrader and contacted the dealer. He said the car has clean title, and only issue with it has been one front fender had a tear in it and had to be replaced, which he has already done. It obviously needs a good detail too. Issues I see in the pics are the rear bumper paint is cracked/peeling, the drivers turn signal lense is missing, and I don't think the fog lights are still there. It does have leather which he says is in really good condition. Seems really cheap for a SS though. Also, it is many hours from where I'm located which kind of adds to the difficulty meter, though I'm not afraid to travel some for the right car/deal.... Think it is worth the money he's askin? Also, anyone on this board live in that area and possibly be willing to stop by and look at it in person for me? Let me hear what you guys think.
Thanks
Steve.

Re: Possible SS purchase
Looks like there might be some cosmetic damage around the drivers turn signal too, although it may just be the picture or angle.
Personally, I just sorta stay away from car ads in all CAPS like this one is. Just makes me wonder that much more.
I would do like you are, get someone in the area that knows Camaros to run by and take a look before driving from Ohio to Colorado.

Re: Possible SS purchase
"Low miles" lol I wouldnt buy an F body with 115,000 miles ever, that along with the issues you brought up.
Their are plenty of these cars out there, I'd wate till you found the right one, this one looks kinda neglected. I wouldnt pay more then $5,000 for that car looking like that.
Mine isnt an SS but I have 54,000 on my 98' Less then 1/2 what that guy has! and mine is showroom without any signifigant scratch other then a few hairline ones, I have to be able to get a good price for mine!!
