I've noticed that for a little while now, at full wheel turn and at (usually) more than idle speed, more prevelent in reverse by far, my car skips... feels jerky and most definately not normal... first time i felt it i thought i had 2 flat tires or something i didn't see as soon as i started backing up.
its been weeks, and i only experiance it in reverse after giving it a little gas at full wheel turn or at least close to it.
my first thought was rearend, busted pinion gear... i've broken those before on my old lt1 and it felt very similiar, only more severe and the car would not drive anywhere close to normal...
my car still drives, corners, feels and sounds fine... except for the times i described... and its been 3 weeks like that with no driving troubles
something else it may be? something i don't know thats causing this?
opinions/input very appreceiated!

both 4th gen f-bodys ive had did that. i dont know what it is, the wide tires maybe? (edit: im sure the LSD is a factor as well) but as much as it sucks, it is a normal 4th gen f-body trait (from my experiences anyway).

no... ive had several f-bodys... been in the f-bod scene for years
i know what your talking about... but this is was a somewhat sudden change and is far more severe than the norm... this is like posi slip... where the tire will actually sound like it sliding on the road
any other opinions?

YOU'RE WRONG!!!!!
But unfortunately if you've experienced this before that statement is probably wrong. Rear might be on the way out. I'd check your trans mount though. That could cause the DS to bind and make the rear feel jerky. Could always drop the differnetial cover just to see. Just 10 bolts between you and the knowlege of if it is the rear.

i thought about taking the diff cover off.. what do i have to do when i put it back on as far as sealants/gasket and oil? what weight oil, how much etc..?
80w90 gear lube should do you for oil, you might need the posi additive, depends on which carrier you have, wont hurt if it doesn't need it
2 qts lube, 1 bottle of additive

i've never put oil in a diff before.... where is the bolt or whatever to fill it? and how long should i let the rtv dry before driving?
longer the better on the RTV, but i have never had one leak if I let it sit 30 minutes
