Simple, runs fine cold,,,misses like crazy warm.

optispark replaced
O2 sensors new


OK, what on earth could this be? The first code said O2, then a mechanic said it was the optispark. these were replaced,,,,,now the next genius said to replace the computer.. we have been chasing this and wasting $$$.

ses light on? could be the icm.

 

Did you change wires and plugs when to optispark was done? Chevyz is right also..in some cases a ICM can give problems when it is warmed up but not when cold.

 

new wires, new plugs.

 

Possibly a problem with the coolant temp sensor also..the one in the waterpump.

 

Have you rescanned it for codes?

What was the specific "O2" code? Some of the O2 sensor codes are caused by problems other than the sensor itself. Knowing the exact code might provide some insight to the real problem.
