Please help info needed on cap, rotor adn tune up

Hey guys I need your help again. I am going to to a tune up on my 97 Z28
6-speed. The cap and rotor was $250 How often does this need to be changed out. Also bosch platinum plugs +4 were $7 each, is this what I should run?

You can buy a complete opti for less than $250! Don't use Bosch plugs. ACDelco, NGK or Autolite have better track records on the LT1.

Do a search for "Jason Cromer" of "Dal Slabaugh". Shoebox also has a link to cheap GM parts sources on his Tech Pages.

I think I'd change the wires and plugs first, and see if that cures the problem. I'd save the opti until last, unless you know for sure it's bad.
