PershingAutoBody on eBay = LAME

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this... (or if a moderator will delete it??)

Just wanted to pass on my POOR experience when buying Front LH fender and bumper cover (painted Arctic White - U9567).

Paid for items 5 minutes after "buy it now"... $432 incl. shipping on Feb 12.

Have contacted them a few times to "get the story"... last contact said they would ship last Thurs/Fri and that I would get an email w/ tracking info... NOT...

Anyway, They haven't posted "positive feedback" for me yet on eBay, so I'm going to try to get them to post my feedback first, then blast them after that.

Anyone know if once you've posted feedback on eBay if you can go back in and change it?? (w/out the moderators getting involved)... I don't want them to be able to post positive for me, and then change it to negative after they read my feedback...

Otherwise I'll probably have to post neutral or positive for them... Hence the reason for posting this here..

Anyway... FYI.

i dont know that i would be so quick to convict them like that, the parts should be there very soon i will agree with you on that, but you bought parts that needed to be painted right? do you think they get painted overnight? then the parts had to be shipped to you right?

1 month is a little long i agree on that

I did forget to mention

they did state 5-10 business days for delivery (incl. painting)

When I spoke to dude last Wednesday he said that one of the two parts was done and that the other was being delivered (painted, I assume) Thursday...

I honestly don't think they've done squat w/ the order, and will be calling the "manager" on Monday.

Ordinarily I'd agree w/ you, and I'm actually pretty easy going, but almost a month and they haven't been shipped.... is pretty WEAK.

Ebay recently changed rules on feedback. Supposed to prevent sellers giving retaliatory negative feedback so buyers feel freer to give accurate feedback. Read here:

Ideally they should have left positive feedback for you as soon as you paid them.I have left positive feedback for 2 people and still waiting for them to do likewise! This bugs the hell out of me

That's why I try to avoid ebay. It's like a crappy economy with hardly any checks or balances. I hear about people getting screwed on ebay all the time.

FINALLY got a tracking number

Several phone calls/emails later, my order has been shipped..

supposed to be delivered today (it is in UPS's hands now, so I feel better).

Whether I get my 2 parts, painted the correct color and undamaged is a different issue... Wouldn't surprise me to find a finger drag thru the wet paint when I get them.

I AM going to rag on them on eBay anyway... And again, although I'm an easy going guy, I'm going to review them online... (saw some BBB site w/ them listed)..

I will LYK how the parts turn out.

I bought a bumper cover and a headlight bracket from them last November. Callled them directly and skipped all the eBay S**t. My parts were delivered in about 2 weeks. I dunno what the deal was with your stuff.

check this...

I'm going to keep ragging these clowns until they tell me to get lost, or pay me my money!!!

I'm sure they screwed up the color when I was forced to call them to find out the status of my order 3-4 weeks after I placed it... They obviously don't keep good records, and probably never rechecked my initial instructions to them (which was sent w/ my PayPal payment)..

I'm sure that many of you guys think I've "lost it", and you're probably right, but this particular issue has really p!$$ed me off...

Blake,

I got the fender and bumper cover today. That is GOOD.

However, they were painted w/ paint code B8949 (Arctic White for CORVETTES)... There is a significant difference in color...

My initial instructions when adding a note to my PayPal payment (which is where I was told to relay color) said paint code U9567 (in that correspondence I did not mention Arctic White)...

See a copy of that email below...

I now have to get them repainted U9567.

I expect that Kevin, your boss, will want to reimburse me the cost of the painting portion of my order.

The difference for the bumper cover is: $163 - $38 = $125
The difference for the LH fender is: $159 - $34 = $125
For a total of $250

Let me know when I can expect the money credited back to my paypal account: jhthornley@hotmail.com

Thanks

John T

Just got off phone w/ dude from Pershing..

Claims that B8949 is "Dupont's code" that is an exact match to GM's U9567...

I did notice 4 white touch up colors in the GM section the other day at Autozone... one of them was mine (U9567). I'll be curious to see if there is a different one (B8949) in that same group... which would imply to me that they are separate colors...

Anybody got a clue in this area?

Thx

John T
