People with 93-95 Fbodies and keyless entry come in here.

I got a simple question for you guys with keyless entry. Does your 93-95 fbody horn honk when you lock your car or anything else happen? My buddies 97 Z honks and i think flashes the headlights when he locks his car. The only action i get out of my car is the dome light comes on and it unlocks. My car had an aftermarket alarm system that i don't even know if it works as i've never used it and i didn't even get a remote for it. i was jw if maybe some how hooking that up the horn was tied into it. Just a thought. Thanks guys.

i know you asked for 93-95 but
my car:

lock: 2 short honks, all corners/brake lights flash, and fogs flash (if you had them turned on), all interior lighting turns off
unlock: all corners/brake lights flash, interior lights light up

Those features with the lights blinking and horn honking (which are also programmable) were not available until 1996, when they added the BCM.

I think the main difference is that the 93-95 was just a keyless entry system while the 96+ is an actual factory alarm.

Mine gave a quick honk when I first got it but I programmed that function out of it...didn't like it honking every time I locked it. Now it just flashes the lights at me.

Alright thanks guys. I sure wish there was some way to wire in a BCM. It would be nice to have all those features, theatre lighting and all the other cool stuff.

Now that you mention that, it would be pretty cool. Anybody ever done anything like that?

Why dont you just get an aftermarket alarm system then?

Because i don't think there is an aftermarket system that adds Theater lighting. I also don't want aftermarket systems because i don't think they function anywhere as near as factory. I love to keep factory stuff if at all possible.

An aftermarket system will work far better then stock. You will have all the optons you want and better range. You really need to look around and find a guy who knows how to wire, dont do it yourself (i tryed) with all that old alarm stuff in there you would be over your head.
My car was the same way with having and old alarm that didnt work and i was using the stock keyless entry. Now when i press unlock on the remote my car chirps, the lights blink, doors unlock, and the dome light goes on.

"i love to keep factory stuff if at all possible"

This is comming from a guy with how much ivested in his car?
