Passenger side brake light out...shoebox???
Ok this doesn't not make sense. My passenger side brake wont work, this is also causing the right turn signal to not work if the headlights or running lights are on. I don't think it would be the brake light switch because both would be out right? Other than that all the bulbs work fine. What do I do?
Thanks
Thanks

Not sure the two are related unless there is a connector loose somewhere (at the base of the steering column comes to mind). There are some schematics on my website if you need to trace wiring.
Re: Passenger side brake light out...shoebox???
Just a few more things to add to this. The right side lights go out completely (with headlights on) if I push the break peddle. I also replaced the turn signal reply and it did change anything.

Sounds like it could be a bad ground wire connection, or a bad socket with a bad ground connection to the bulb (rusty socket).
A bad ground can cause the light circuit to ground out thru the brake/turn light circuit. When the brakes are applied, you're basically sending a positive signal to both sides of the bulb.

Re: Passenger side brake light out...shoebox???
Well I fixed it last night. Still not sure how. I replaced all the bulbs cleaned and greased all the sockets, changed out the turn signal relay and pulled the headlight switch out and checked it. Then everything worked.
I'm going to go with the "Combined effort" fix.
Because at this point I still can figure out what it was. But it may have to do with the dimmer switch and the extra gauges I have run in the car....
