i have a 99 z28, and want to know the rear gear ratio. i know its on the drivers door but which code is it? or is there a link anyone has to translate what they all mean?

 

It's the "G" Code, probably GUX

GU1 AXLE REAR, 2.41 RATIO
GU2 AXLE REAR, 2.73 RATIO
GU4 AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
GT4 AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO

With the 6 speed it should be the 3:42, right?

 

All 4th Gen M6's left the factory with a 3.42:1 rear axle, except the 1993's (2.73 and 3.23).
