hey guys does anyone know if pa has vehicle inspection? im asking because im moving there from jersey when i get out of the army and i was just wondering.

 

Yes, Pa has inspections.
Several areas have emissions inspections also.
The area i'm in does not do emissions, but a visual inspection for cats and other related componets.

 

what part you moving to? 96 and newer with obd2 doesnt get a sniffer, rather a systems check to look for any "ses" codes. if you have a ses light on you will automatically fail. other than that you have to know someone to get by the visual if no cats. although i heard of a mechanic who passed a ls1 no cats w/sims because it didnt throw a code and the driver told him it wont throw a code because it has "internal cats" in the y-pipe, very expensive he added.
