P0400 Egr

Hey guys. Today my car through the EGR ses. I'm just wondering how difficult it is to replace. Any tips or info. Thanks in advance. My car has 0 mods and its a 97 m6.

No mods? Bad Egr probably. Not hard to replace. I just hate how it's hidden and you can't see it and have to touchy-feeling for it.
Other possibilities may be that the EGR is lose ; needs to be tightened ; or is leaking. Take a peak back there to see whats going.

Might want to check.... I vaguely remember a recall on the EGR valves on the 96/97's.

Thanks for the info guys. Since I have traction control, does it make it harder to replace the EGR??? Are there any tips you guys have as to replacing it??
