Overheating 70 Camaro 350ci
I have a 70 camaro that over heats at high speed. If I am at normal driving speed city roads it get up to 192-210 and holds. When I go at highway speeds 70-75 MPH it raises and gets to 230-240. any ideas??
I have just recently replaced the fan clutch and have not seen if that helps.

What shape is the system in?
Have you made sure the fins are clean? (no leafs, dead bugs, etc?)
Have you flushed the system lately?
Are you certain the temp gauge is reading correctly?
What shape is the coolant in?
If you are running higher rpms then it makes sense that there will be more heat. If you are only getting a limited amount of airflow (like at normal driving speeds) it will heat up with the increased load on the motor.

The system was flushed and the radiator seems to be in good working order. There is good flow and the coolant is clean and fresh. Only other issue is I do not have the front spoiler on. Some have suggested it is needed for directing air to the engine area.
