oval exhaust tubing?

Does anyone have any experience with the oval exhaust tubing from Dr. Gas or similar suppliers?

I live in a city that has ****ty roads, big speed bumps, and all sorts of bad news for cars with low clearance. The only conclusion I came up with is that if I want to lower the car and run dual 3" I'll need to use the oval exhaust tubing over the axel.

I'm just trying to decide if it's practical to go this route or not. I don't want to spend ~$500 on a system now, only to replace it in a few months if I decide I absolutely must lower my car.

It's nice stuff but real pricey. Just a "y" pipe in 3-1/2" is close to $500. It's not much cheaper from anybody else that has it.

You dont say where you live but a 3 inch set of tubes and lowered will be a pain in the rear literally. Its not a combo you want for city roads. It will ride like a rock and bang like mad. Im lowered 1.5 inches run a 3 inch set of tubes and have perfect roads down here and drag my pipes over everything 2 inches and higher. I cant even roll a soda can under my setup :eek

PS: Most dual setups over the rear axle use 2.5 inch and thats on stock heights.

We are runing 3-1/2" Y pipe to a 4" out the back it's tight but can be done. They are not duals.

I've been planning 3" duals over the axel for a while now, so I already have the BMR upper panhard relocation kit installed. Apparently it's suppose to give you enough room to run 3" duals over the axel.

After I made that post I went and took some measurements, and there's just no way I can lower the car with long tubes. Oh well I'm just going to run a conventional 3" over the axel setup and keep it at stock height.
