With a body in the Camaro, yes..Indeed I was off on the 350z...took my friends word for it since he owns the car. Nonetheless, it reinforces my opinion that the dude will get handed since his car is 25 hp less than the 350z and weighs more.

350z = 3225 lbs.
z28 = 3442 lbs.

97z = 3442 lbs according to Camarosource.com.

Re: Opinion: 93 Z28 Vs. Nissan 350Z

i raced a 05 with my 01 SS when it was stock, we raced from 70 up and i won, i won by a large margin when we lined up at 50 and 70+ but when we were jsut messing around (i came up behind him and he took off then i take off beind him) i was about 50yards behind and it took me a while to gain the gorund back and when i did i started drafting and i had to go only about half throttle up to 150 i couldnt get around him b.c traffic we only had one lane....
my motor stock put down 342 so it was really up there for being stock....
i dont know aobut LT1's but you have automatic so if your gonig from a dig then you should beable to get him off the line and depending on how big your lead is off the line then i tihnk you might beable to hold him off.....he may get you top end though. sohuld be a really close race....good luck

Never thought I'd get this many responses, but thanks for all the help.

Last reply I hope. Since the 1st 240Z back in the early 70s we called them "Lead Sleds". Nothing has changed in 36 years. Those who like rice always will. Those who know, nothing replaces real HP and 8 cylinders.
