oil + water
I have a 3.8 that blew a head gasket and looks like oil & antifrezze are mixed... I am not going to be able to work on this for a few weeks due to work; so I am wondering if there is anything I can put into it to help it store. Obviously I am going to drain the watery oil and repalce it with new but is there any additive to help it store - prevent rust / further damage. I hear people talking about seafoaming and things like engine flush - mystery oil, but I have never tried either so I don't know which try.
thank you for your time
p.s. geuss this is a 2nd question but I didn't want to overpost. When I pulled the valve covers to take a quick look I could see around the the top of the #4 cylinder (around rocker arm - on inside of valve cover) was all black and the others were more of a normal tan color. Does this point to a bad piston/cylinder or could this be expalined away from just being where the head gasket is bad... I haven't yet done compression test or looked over the plugs but I will try to do early next week and update if I find anything.

Don't need anything if it's just going to be a few weeks. Additives are for cleaning running engines. Your going to have to pull the heads to do the gaskets anyway, so you can clean up the engine then.
Don't know enough about the 3.8, never had one. But valve cover "color" can be affected by things a simple as the heater hose laying on it.
