oil problem

is it normal for my cars oil pressure to drop from about 60psi to 20psi after its been running for awhile

oil pressure will drop some as the oil warms up, but depending on viscosity, thats too much of a drop. are you basing this on a mechanical guage(not the dash guage) reading?

It's not unreasonable for it to be 60 when cold and first started, then 20 at hot idle.

ya my car usually chills at 35 to 40 psi
but when its cold its at 60 and when its hot at an idle it iwll go to 20 so u should be fine or we have the same problem. lol just kidding im sure its normal.
