O2 sensor?
O2 sensor?
for the 3rd time tonight my SES light came on whiloe at low rpm in 6th gear. would this be a sighn of an o2 sensor going bad? the light goes off if I shut it down for a minute or so and then start it back up.
Re: O2 sensor?
Same thing happened to me after header install - turned out, it was my EGR hookup on the headers. The connection was fine though, flush...sealed with a sealant as well, but just thre code for no reason. I can't remember now if adding the RTV solved the problem or if I just had the EGR code programmed out. Either way, it wasn't really a problem with the EGR...just was throwing the code. Get it scanned definitely - my guess is EGR flow - based on personal experience only.
Re: O2 sensor?
I had that same situation when it threw a code and it was EGR Failure... I could turn the car off and then restart it and the code would go off. So Im not worrying about it and eventually going to get it tuned out of my PCM.
