I'm not asking can it be done, or how much it costs. I'm wondering if you can tell if a car came with t-tops from the factory? and if I were to do the conversion to a hard top car... ballpark whether it'll hurt/help value.

I'm pretty sure you can check the rpo codes to see if it had them originally. If you do a conversion correctly it would help the value if it looked factory.

 

RPO CC1 = roof panels, removable glass.

As old as these cars are getting, I seriously doubt that it would matter much if it was stock or converted.
