Noise Coming from Rear of Car

The other day I was driving around and when I slow down There is a noise that sounds like a winding down as I step on the brakes. It's really noticable from like 40 to 25 mph. Could it be the rear end or bad tire's. Anyone else had this noise before. Thanks for the help in advance.

i think you'd be able to tell if it was the tires. what size/type of tire do you have? i know some tires are noisy. my guess would be your rear end.
