Buying a no-name electric cutout off Ebay is probably pretty close to same as buying a no-name CAI from Ebay: it might fit/work, it might not.
Just like what happened to me when I bought a cheapo CAI for my Expedition a few weeks ago. I knew the possible problems with it, but since it was about 40 bucks shipped, I bit the bullet. And lost...
There's no way that thing is going work to replace my stock induction. Not even close. And the seller of course says it will, so we are now in the dispute stage... We'll see what happens.
So, all in all, if you are willing to accept to non-fitment/operation risk, then go for it. But since brand-name e-cutouts are not much more, I'd get one of them. Which I guess OP did, anyway.
