need some advice please
hey guys so its been awhile since I've posted been kind of depressed lately because I got T boned a few months ago, it took out my door and some of the rear quarter, I got a new door on and it works but I want the car to be straight again. So my question is is it worth fixing or should I just get a roller and swap everything over? He re are some pics.

depends on how much work you want or are willing to do. I bought my car for 800 bucks because it was t-boned in an accident like yours was. The quarter panel isnt the hardest thing in the world to replace, but you have to have the right tools to get the job done. I cant tell by ur picture how bent your frame is, but i can see the quarter got moved a bit from the impact (looking at the trunk). If you get a good GM Quarter panel or are able to salvage one, the hardest part is you would have to cut the quarter panel right below the sail panel, use a sheet metal clamps to get the gap as close as possible, and weld in the gap. The rest of quarter panel looks pretty well shot so you can just separate the quarter on the joints all the away around. Getting the panel lined up properly is a bit tricky, but if you get the hatch line and tail light lined up correctly, then you're golden. Sanding down the welds and bondo over them to make sure you have a completely smooth surface.
Everything is possible, and to fix that quarter will cost several hundred bucks for a quarter and miscellaneous parts for it. The only thing you need to think about is how willing are you to tackle that project and do you have the time. Never try to rush bodywork like that or else it wont turn out well. I was 18 when i fixed my quarter panel and it wasnt too bad. I was just very patient and it actually turned out very well. Kid you not, you would never know it was in an accident.
From the looks of it, when its all said and done, that car needs a new paint job anyways, and its actually a pretty nice Z. I would go ahead and fix it. When its all said and done and if your successful, it will be that much more YOUR car.
