Need part number for A/C probe.

I am looking for a part number for the probe that goes into the evaporator core on a 95 Camaro. I have found part numbers for every other part of the HVAC system except this one. Will the A/C work without this part or is it necessary?

Is it the cycling switch (also referred to as the temp. sensor) that you are after? It would appear as a "probe" with a wire lead on it?? In the illustration it is located right in front of the evap. air filter. Part # for it is 52458970...hope this is of some help.

It is in the box. It has a blue, gray and a black wire. It is placed in the fins of the core to provide a temp reading for the PCM. It is listed as an "A/C evaporator temperature sensor". I have the pressure switch on the line. I am wrapping up my A/C system for Summer and I want to cover my bases.

Okay, that is definitely the part # I gave above. I have no idea if you need to have it or not, though...hope this helps.

I will look into that part. I might hook it up and see if I have to have it. If not, I won't bother with it.

I am expecting to need it. This is a swap and I want everything working as factory as possible. I currently have it running through the third gen pressure switch without a relay. I want to take some of the load off the electrical system and let the PCM control it.
