Need Opinions, i'm a n00b
Hello All...new to the forums, long time fan of Camaros, But have yet the opportunity to own one...yet.
I've got a question: I've stumbled across a 1994 Camaro V6.
It has a new clutch
Has 160K miles
Driver's window doesnt roll up all the way
Check Engine light is on because of O2 sensor
Brake light is one due to E-Brake being pulled to far
Needs Tires soon
Engine Runs a little high in Idle
Has a 5-speed Tranny
I've been wanting a Camaro for a while, only thing is I want a Z28, but they're outta my price range ($3000) For what I want (95+ w/ T56) Would it be pointless to buy this car with intentions to drop either a 3.8 supercharged or LT4 into it?
Price on this car is $1800, is it worth it?

Depens what you want to do with it. Doing any V8 conversion would be expensive.
I've got a question: I've stumbled across a 1994 Camaro V6. (good)
It has a new clutch (good)
Has 160K miles (hmmm)
Driver's window doesnt roll up all the way (common problem on F bodies)
Check Engine light is on because of O2 sensor (do you know that for sure?)
Brake light is one due to E-Brake being pulled to far (doubt it its either a switch or a brake problem)
Needs Tires soon (plan on dropping at least $400 for new rubber)
Engine Runs a little high in Idle (not sure what to say with this)
Has a 5-speed Tranny (good)
Honestly if I where you and I wanted a V8 camaro I would save for one its best to get a V8 to begin with cause of the time and money it would take to convert a V6. Buy what you want the first time and you won't grow attached to a car you spend a lot of time and money on that you never wanted in the first place.
Just my 2 cents keep the change

Sup buddy, welcome to the board. I would just save for what you want. Theres no point in getting something you dont want, unless you need it as a daily driver, if not save. you'll be happier in the end.
Personally, for the miles and the problems the car has, I would offer them a grand tops. Second, if you are thinking you can swap a 3.8L supercharged motor in there from a Grand Prix or Regal, your mistaken, those are front wheel drive applications and will not work with the rear wheel drive f-body. An LT4 swap is doable, but finding an actual LT4 motor can be tricky. Also, if you were to do a swap, you would practically need a donor car. So if you start crunching numbers, you are going to spend anywhere from 1000-1800 on the v6 f-body. Then when you buy a complete LT1 or LT4 powertrain or a complete donor car, you can spend anywhere from 1000-3000 dollars. That will easily put you over the 3000 dollars that the z28s are selling for in your area. As hard as it sounds, it may be for the best just to keep saving and get what you really want.
The other bad news I have for you is a decent 95+ Lt1 with a T56 is going to run more like $4500-$5500. For $3000 you will be buying someone elses headache! Maybe you could find a cloth seat, crank window, no t-top car with 150,000 miles.......maybe.
Yeah, I bought a 94 V6 for 1K even, and it needed a new motor, so that cost me another 1K, and the only think I liked about it compared to my current Z28 was the gas mileage. That car got damn great gas mileage (30+ mpg), but my Z28 still needs some work on it so I could possibly reach that with my current car. Turst me, you'll hate the 6 after you drive an 8.
