Im installing my longtubes but im having some trouble getting my edelbrock shorties out. They won't come out the bottom, and won't come out the top unless i move the steering column knuckle. I already removed the bolt but i can't get them to come apart. Is it supposed to just slide off? Need help quick thanks guys

 

After removing the bolt, the linkage should just come off. I can't remember exactly, but I think it is an "up and out" motion in order to get the piece off.
