Exclamation Need help with Power Window Mechanisim!

So my window glass started to lean in toward me when the window is going up. I took the door pannel off and saw that there is a rivet that broke off which holds the stablizing wheel on the vertical track. I'm guessing I need a whole new mechanism becasue of this, but i don't know where i can find one. I was also thinking of welding the rivet back into place.

Can anyone help me out with this? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Those are pretty much your options. Try to repair (success rate not too good) or replace the regulator. Salvage yard or dealer for a replacement.

Are you sure it's the motor and not the riveted on bracketing?

They are on Ebay occasionally for $10.00. It includes the track at the bottom of the window as well as the vertical track at the rear of the door.

Wow thats exactly what happened to me!...as A matter of fact, that is one of my problems with my door so I am looking into changing out the whole door. I tried epoxy and it was not worth the try, money, or taking apart and
frustration!
Good thread though...Just what I needed cuz my tint is starting to peel off
and I am tired of pulling the Window back everytime I am going to put the
windows up! Its embarrasing!

Just had the same problem on my driver side door. Took it to the local trim shop and had it fixed(I don't mess with power windows). Parts were 38.00 from the dealer and 1 hour labor from the trim shop. Door is like new! They even replaced the rub pads for free.

A trim shop?...
Never heard of one of those but it sounds like something i DEFINITELY want to do. Is this like a body shop or weld shop?

I would assume it to be the glass shop.
