Need help installing emblems

Just bought 2 69 Camaro script Camaro emblems. The ones that have the studs to bolt through the fender. But the Year One book says you can shave off the studs and install with double sided tape. On my old 85 Camaro I used super glue (I beleive it was the gel kind) to install all the emblems. Has anybody used glue to install there fender emblems? I had no problem with it on my 85 Camaro, but just wanted to see if any body else has done this.

Do you have to just place peices of 3m at different places on the emblem? Theres no way to put it completely over the whole camaro script emblem.

Most auto parts stores sell mounting tape for that,it is black and yes you shold cover as much of the back as possible. Lay out the stripe of the tap, stick it on the back ,and use an exacto knife to trim to fit, then peel and stick on the car where you want it.

Re: Need help installing emblems

Found some 3M emblem and trim adhesive at Advance Auto. Hopefully this will do the job.
