Re: need to find out the name of the paint color
The paint code is on the Service Parts tag, typically in the glove box or on the end of the driver's door. There will be a series of 3-place alpha-numeric codes. If that fails you can go to the compnine website and get a detailed printout of your car's build details, by entering your VIN. But there is now a small cost on compnine.

Re: need to find out the name of the paint color
I just checked the door there is not a sticker there the glove box has a sticker that says 'service parts identification' but i am not seeing anything else on the body about it all i know from looking at it is it is bluish green or greenish blue i need to find out from that build sheet more than likely to really know the true color of the car cause the front bumper as most rock chips and paint is chipping away due to the rock chips i have many plans for this car and want it as factory as possible with a couple lowering mods and stuff but keep everything mostly stock thanks a lot for the info about the build sheet i had forgotten all about those and i had been in mechanics for a long time but never got into body work or paint just strictly engine

Re: need to find out the name of the paint color
Chevrolet Touch Up Paint | Color, Code, and Directions for Chevrolet
In the example - BC/CC indicates base coat/clear coat. "41" was the GM code for Black.
Your car sounds like "37" - "Bright Teal" on the Camaro, "Dark Aqua Metallic" on the Firebird. I still have the dealer literature on my 94 Firebird, with the color samples, and Dark Aqua Metallic is a mix of green and blue.
The only other alternative would be "18" - "Dark Green Gray".
Here's another source of codes and colors:

Re: need to find out the name of the paint color
Did you look at the link? It's all shown in there.
It shows Base Coat/Clear Coat (all 4th Gens are base + clear coat); Bright Teal is code 37, and the GM code is WA 146A. The "U" just means exterior body color.
Not sure if you will get anything more definitive than that. But if you still don't understand or believe, any paint shop knows how to read the tag and get the paint.
