Need cheap upgrade help

alright, me n my buddy are gonna race. My car is a bolt on LT1 in sig, i stay side by side w/ my buddys SRT-4 that is a stage 2 pushing the same power as a stage 3, so im confident i can beat him.
My buddys car is
Mustang with 5.0 bored to a 306
.520/.520 cam
4.10 gears
street tires
skinnies up front
5speed
exhaust
shorties

He has NO idea what he runs in the 1/4

Im pretty sure i'll beat him, but what else can i buy thats CHEAP to help assure it? I raced him once from a roll before i had the CAI and good tires and we were pretty even, he pulled on the topend (above 85), but from a dig i had him by 4-5 in the 1/8th or so since he spun and i hooked decent but not as good as i do now..
Im thinking maybe LCAs or something? I just want something that'll give me a little extra.

yeah, i got the lug nuts. I have nittos on there and i hook pretty damned good.

Im thinking around 3-400. I have a friend selling a nitrous setup, but its for a TPI and were not sure if it'd work or not. I know it would if it was a nozzle setup, but its a plate setup.

Plate will work its the same.......a smal shot would do it.

You can upgrade later w/ bottle heater, something to pull timing safety stuff etc.

I would run a FPSS but a 50 or 75 hit will do it

well, he only has the nozzles for the plate for the 125 and 150 shot. I can get a nitrous tune this week. It comes with the FPSS, and i will run it on a push button switch on the steering wheel instead of the window switch or TPS activated switch, that way i can spray at certain RPMs, or only a certain gear, etc so the only real thing i would need is the bottle heater and the FPSS, that sound alright to you? Can i get new jets for the plate to downgrade to like a 50 shot or so?

make sure where the lines go in the plate it won't interfere with anything......

Harris speed works has a cheap nozzle kit if that plate will not work.

well, if that plate will not work, im just gonna buy the HSW sudden impact kit witha single nozzle and a FPSS from em and call it good for about the same price....actually, i think i will do that. mike, since im on the stock fuel pump, would i be fine to use a wet kit for like a 75 shot?

should be fine as long as its in good condition, I would consider a gauge on the a pillar or something so you can always keep an eye on it

yeah, i think i will. I have one of the old RK sports "cassette" plates with an oil temp. guage thats pretty worthless that i can add a fuel pressure guage there.

my worry with gears would be that would affect my traction too much to have the jump off the line. I think i should probably take him as-is without much of a problem
