Is my window motor shot?

I had my window down for a couple days in the garage. Today it wouldn't go up. Other one works fine. Took apart the door, nothing is obstructed. I can't get the window up no matter what. I thought it might be electrical problem but when i push the button, i hear a click from the motor but no movement.

Is it typical for them to go out w/o warning? It worked perfectly fine (and still had good speed) the last time i used it. No one has been near the car and nothing damaged it. I was under the impression that they fail slowly. Anything else i should try before I order a new one?

Maybe it is the switch, I had one on a 97 Z that the window started getting real slow and turned out to be the switch.

I had a regal where you could hear a thunk with each press of the switch. Thought for certain is was the window motor. After trying two motors it turned out to be the switch.

I would think that if it was a motor that it would've gave some kind of warning, the switch on the other hand I could see it instantly not wanting to work.

Thanks guys, Ill see if i can rig it up to the other switch. You saved me the hassle of buy ing a new motor. Yeah thats what I thought, a failing motor would die slowly, this one worked perfectly fine the other day.

WEll i took apart the door checked everything, I started tinkering with the wires attached to the switch and it started working perfectly again. Im guessing it was a loose connection. Im gonna watch it and see what happens next, hopefully its good now.
