MY car will not start! Help

I have a 95 Z-28 that is stock except for a KN filter. Today the car cut off on me and will not start at all, in fact it will not do anything. It will not turn on let alone turn over. If I turn the key to the "on" position the car does nothing. No lights, no gauges moving, no nothing. Before this happened the car was acting really strange. The car was hesitating and the gauges were bouncing around errracticly and finally the car cut off without warning and hasn't powered on since. I checked the battery and it's has plenty of power. I straight wired the started and the engine turned over but the car wold not start. To me it seems like a fuse blew that controls the power to the entire car. IF this is the case what fuse should I be looking at.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so what is the answer to my problems?

If your battery is still fully charged I would suspect a loose or faulty battery cable. It could be either pos or neg but since you hotwired the starter and it enguaged it's likely the pos cable. There is a point where the big single wire from the alternator and the pos battery cable come together that may have come loose. If all that is good, suspect the ignition switch. Good Luck!

I checked the POS cable and it's tight and pretty clean but I will check it again. I didn't check the ground cable to see if it's lost it's ground. The battery connections looks good but I didn't check where it's terminated at. The ignition switch sounds like the possible culprit also. Anyone else has any ideas?
