well ran the ac for the first time today...

when i got home and parked, turned the car off and the blower motor is still going...

i can select all the settings and when i put it on defrost the damn engine cooling fans are coming on??? WTF???

 

Are you sure its the blower motor and NOT the cooling fans that are still going?

 

Is your SES light on?

 

Cooling fans do run after a car is off if it is still hot. The cooling fans are supposed to run all the time when the air conditioning is on. So if it's the cooling fans and not the blower motor, all is well. Pop the hood and look to see if the cooling fans are running. If not check to see if there is air coming out if the vents in the interior. Listen for a whirring sound behind the glove box (where the blower motor is located).

 

Yeah...the blower motor is on. Even with the key out. I thought the igintion killed everything...?

No SES light is on either...

 

I don't think it would throw an SES as it's a separate system. That is pretty strange though. Time to get out the DMM and start tearing stuff apart.
