Motor out the bottom:What about A/C

Getting ready to pull my LT1 out the bottom.

As far as A/C goes, is there any special procedure or anything to be aware of so that when I hook it back up it just needs to be charged? I can just let the R134a out of the system and disconnect it right?

Just want to make sure, I'm spoiled on my A/C, and my rebuild is taking enough funds allready.

If you want to spend the time and effort, you can remove the compressor and leave the a/c intact. You will have to "float" the compressor in the bay with something to tie it. You will basically have to get the accessory bracket off to allow the compressor room to get by when dropping the engine out.

If you are just going to disconnect the refrigerant lines, make sure you seal the ends of any exposed lines to keep anything out of them. After you put it back together, get the system evacuated and then re-charged.
