For some reason this has something to do with oil pressure it has started Everytime even after warm I'll post a detailed description on what's going on and what I do to fix it tomorrow my 94 did almost the same thing to me but it was auto

 

From what I have read some lt1 cars do have something in the oil pressure switch that stops the pump if it doesn't see oil pressure and alot do not mine does and the reason y it says check gauges is because I have no oil pressure for 30 seconds of cranking I did figure out what was wrong the pickup for my oil pump has fallen. Into the pan unfortunately so I will be either following the pan removal thread or just pulling the motor n trans from the bottom and doing bearings and seals maybe cam figuring up my budget yet probly go the cheap rout this time and just do the pickup and pan gasket as it's getting ripped apart this winter anyway thank you to every one who helped I'm starting tommorow morning any tips on how to get the pickup to stay I DO not want to do this again untell winter

 

If you car has a connection from the gauge to the pcm or fuel pump, it is aftermarket. The factory F-car engines never had anything like that in 94.

 

It's a 95 I should edit my Sig but idk it starts when it sees oil pressure and I tapped on the pan and found out my pickup fell into it

 

The deal is the same for a 95 or any F-car 93-2002.

 

Ok no biggy I just know it doesn't fire untell my oil pressure gauge starts to read maybe the pickup falling messed something else up on a few other forums it was a big debate and I was just stateing what I read and one of the guys had the same problem so I tapped on my pan and low and behold I heard the pick up make noise in there

 

Ok I'm about to trade this ****er for a mustang no joke I've tried everything now and this piece of **** still starts hard I realy ****ed up trading for this piece of ****. Starts hard fuel pump relay has been swapped thinking my opti is junk go ****ing figure my camaro was the same way just riddled with problems

 

Ok so sorry for the freak out but I had a talk with a guy who has been messing with them since new he said spray a little starting fluid in the intake and if it fires change the pump if it doesn't change the opti is junk per the 18 is showing the hall sensor is failing and if it shows no sign to the icm and pcm the injectors will not pulse sense the code 36
