Question MC capacity, 98+ vs 97 and below?

Ok folks - I don't post questions often, but this one has me guessing with no easy way to figure it out.

Years past I swapped the front brakes on my 95 Z to a 98+ brake setup. I've finally gotten the car fast enough to where brakes are again a concern, and I was wondering if upgrading the master cylinder to a 98+ model would give me a better pedal feel/more braking pressure? I've already got a 98 MC on hand, but don't wanna go through the hassle of swapping it out if it's going to do zero for me.

Those in the know post up

TIA -

I doubt it. Some stainless lines might.

I would just invest in a nice setup from Baer and be done with it. The later MC probably won't improve feel at all, and it won't improve the braking ability of your car. Still the same rotors to warp.

Re: MC capacity, 98+ vs 97 and below?

I guess what I'm looking for is whether or not there is a difference in capacity between the early and late model MC's. I DO know that after the brake swap, my stock MC is pumping fluid to two pistons on each side instead of just one (on the fronts), but what I DON'T know is if there is a meaningful capacity difference between the old MC style and the new. I'm betting there is, but I'm looking for someone who's "been there done that" if possible.

Since a search on the site turned up exactly zippo on this subject, I might just go ahead and bolt it on there to see for myself. Doesn't seem to be a very popular thing to do..

Need something to do tomorrow anyway besides waiting to get dumped on by yet another hurricane..
