MagnaFlow Exhuast Problems!

Alright well once you see the pic it is pretty obvious how bad my exhuast is...I had this put on about june of 2005 by my chevy dealership...I paid bunches of money and it was always a little off centered when i got it but i didnt care....

Then one of the hangers broke...and i brought it back complaining(thinking they would stand behind there work and because i paid good money for it) Well they took wire n just temperarily fixed it for me...and said i would need to pay for a replacment hanger...

Well i bumed it out from there till i put it away for winter and now its just rediculous...Refer to pic!

WHAT SHOULD I DO??

It just looks like the whole thing is twisted to the left. Cant realy tell you whats wrong without looking underneath it.

Re: MagnaFlow Exhuast Problems!

When you say the hanger broke, are you meaning the stock hanger or the hanger on the Magnaflow?

Bite the bullet and find a small muffler repair shop and have it done right. Independants usually can do custom work and what you need done. A dealer is a last resort or for warrenty work only. By the way if its just a stock bracket. Buy it yourself and put it on if thats all it needs its just 1 bolt. tell the dealer to stick it. They are used to it.

Yeah that makes a difference because fixing one means drilling a hole and fixing another involves welding. I agree with the previous poster to just buy a new bracket and if you don't already have it a tap and die set so you can drill a new hole next to where the stock bracket was and thread it. Pretty easy fix.
