M6 Shift **** Question

well i got a pro 5.0 with the lou's short stick...i was wondering what the thread size is. I am looking at a hurst ball in summit and the the hurst ball says Thread on M16 x 1.50mm.. is that the same as a factory leather ball?

I have the hurst leather **** but that will only fit on the original pro 5.0 stick and not the lou's short stick. it fits on the threads and screws down but never turns out to look straight...its like it ran out of thread.
but the thing is that i see couple people on the board use the hurst leather **** with a lou's SS..HELP ME OUT GUYS!

part # on summit= HUU-1630016

Re: M6 Shift **** Question

Check with Lou or the folks you bought the combination from

I have Lou's Short Stick and the Hurst ****, But I have an SLP Shifter

When I bought my combo a few years back I was in E-mail contact with Lou himself and he was very helpful

But make sure whatever you do you find out the correct thread pattern

Re: M6 Shift **** Question

Spacers are your friend when it comes to shift *****. I use anything from thin cardboard to paper, to sheetmetal if it's that bad. Most times a couple circles out of a business card work the best.

That's how one sets the Logo on a Shifter. The MBA **** that I'm running actually came with plastic spacers just for this reason.

I think people put papaer inside the shift **** itself so it cant screw down as far.

Re: M6 Shift **** Question

the MBA ***** come with several size "spacers" some are business card thickness, others are less than paper thin plastic

it doesn't take much to alter the distance the **** screws on to affect the alignment.

and you DO realize...starting the **** in different places doesn't do anything. it still only has ONE thread exposed..so it should always start in the same spot.

but seriously...take some thin plastic and cut little circles...put them on top of the stick and thread teh **** on...you'll see what we mean.
