Has anyone ever done this with bad characteristics?good?

Replacement GM MAFs are the same part number for both cars.

what about a MAF from a 6.0?
same # larger? Any gains?

Check the P/Ns, if it's the same P/N then they are interchangable. If they are different don't use them; most likely the flow curve (Airflow Vs frequency); which is what your PCM sees to read the airflow is different.

The only way to make it work would be to have the correct flow curve/table and modify/adapt the curve for the LT1 PCM, and have the correct pigtail.

well the pigtail is the same on MAF's 94-02 but i cant find a P/N on this Granatelli POS,
