no no no... y'all have this back-asswards.. you have the cash for mods BEFORE you take out the loan for the car, to mod.

hope this clears things up

^^

So, my car with the PCM tuned, LT headers, ORY, cat back, cutouts, LPE CAI, TBB, 160* stat will beat a stock ls1? What about a Mach 1?

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

i had my 95 formula fairly well modded... stall, exhaust, computer, race tranny... intake never so much as tied an ls1 from a stop or roll

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

i have a WS6 and i raced a mach 1 at the track and stayed dead even with only my cutout and 160 stat so i would say yes. I havent raced one with my headers yet but i am pretty sure you should beat it

Ha, I know what you mean I only asked to see what he would say I have this kid at my school that has a Mach 1, cool kid. I beat him from a dead stop, good times. I like the orange color though. My car was stock BTW.

I think a couple of people with LT1's posting here are kinda stretching the abilities of there cars. It takes more than a full exhaust to = LS1, period.

It does take more than that, most def. It all comes down to how bad/good the driver is though with mods like those. Send me those videos I wanna see them

What kind of moron would take out a loan for auto repairs, hmm lets think about this....My transmission is about to go, and so is my rear end. Why am I explaining myself to you....I have no idea. Funny you call me a moron when you know jack **** about the current situation I am in. Do you REALLY think I'm taking out 10k just so I can add mods to my car? OHHHHHHHH yeah sorry BTW my car is paid off. I have full insurance on it, and paying 180 a month for 5 years is junk change when you have the money. So before you go calling me a "moron" you might want to not judge people, especially when you have your head so far up your ***. So good job Sanchez on assuming. If you don't like it, get over it, don't complain about it to me.
didnt mean to be rude by it but maybe you should have explained it first...from what you wrote it sounded stupid

ya wanna see it? let me know when your in dfw area. ive got pleanty of witnesses and timeslips. i go to the local 1/8 mile fairly often. the car ran 2-4 mph faster in the 1/8 (when it was stock) then every other stock lt1 ive ever seen. some ls1s are faster then other ls1s too. it happens.

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

every car is different and runs accordingly, simplest example a car with 150k is going to show more wear and "typically" be slower than an identical car with only 60k on it. as far as running 13.34@105.9 with what you have in your sig SEEMS to be a little quick, not to say it cant be done. As for LT1 vs LS1 their both small blocks, each have advantages and disadvantages, i feel that my car should hold its own against a 98+ camaro/firebird but wont know till july 1st........ill be sure to let you knwo
