LS1 Brake upgrade?

Is it realy worth it to upgrade to the LS1 brakes? I really think that my fronts are warped, and need to replace them. It seems like a fairly cheap upgrade to do, so im really contemplating doing it. However, I dont really have that much money to play with, so Im kinda hoping that the set im looking at doesnt go up too much in price. I would like to do the Vette brake upgrade, but I def dont have that money and dont have 17 inch rims either. So yeah, is it worth it?

I was kind of wondering about this myself.
Like you though, I don't have the cashflow
Unlike you, however; I do have 17" rims

From what I've read - yes, it's worth it.

What is different between the LT1 and LS1 brakes? I know they are bigger and better, but how? How much bigger, why are they better?

Go for it! This upgrade can be done for around $200. Keep in mind that you can get these brakes from a wrecked base model Camaro or Firebird as well as their more higher powered siblings for they are all the same. If you do get your brake components from a wrecked car, be sure that there wasn't any front suspension damage done to the donor or you may find that you could have alignment problems. I have heard of a few cases where some people wound up purchasing used steering knuckles that were slightly bent. The installation is very straight forward, and the results are very rewarding!
