Low coolant light(icon) on

On my 95 Z the low coolant icon light came on so I checked and found the overflow bottle was down about a pint. I also checked the radiator and it was full. I added the pint but the light keeps coming back on after a few minutes of driving. There is no reset button so I disconnected the battery for a minute to clear it but it keeps coming back. Could the sensor be bad and if so, where is it. Thanks in advance for all responses.

Re: Low coolant light(icon) on

The sensor is on the side of the radiator, on the battery side.

Common problem. The sensor cruds up and stops working. You can try cleaning it but that seldom solves the problem. A new sensor would be required.

Re: Low coolant light(icon) on

Thanks Moparman and Injuneer, I'll probably just try a new sensor and see what happens.
