I overall like the magnaflow. Only drawback is at times sounds like cherry bombs. Most other times it has a mellow rumble or scream.

I like the SLP Loudmouth............. but it's up to u, go to LS1 sounds.com u can hear all kinds of exhaust. Look into the TSP rumbler too i heard it gives u pretty good gains and its loud.

I like the LM because it gives you a nice rumble at an idle and just cruisin' through town but it also gives you a scream when you get on right it. They are both nice systems though.

My car came with the Magnaflow on it, it had a nice sound but wasn't loud enough for my tastes. So I installed an electric cutout so the car can run without a muffler, when I have the cutout open, the car is REALLY LOUD and sounds awesome. I can then close the cutout when I don't feel like listening to all that racket.

Thanks for the response. Ive listened to both on ls1sounds and i think im leading towards LM. IM gonan be driving from dallas to Austin quite a bit so i was wondering if how loud LM is cruisen at 1500RPMS. ami gonna have to scream to tlak to passenger or turn up music to drown out the drone of the exhaust?

with stock cats and manifolds you will have no trouble whatsoever carrying on a normal conversation at a cruise with the loudmouth....i have a dynomouth (LM with a bullet) plus longtubes and no cats and I dont have to scream at all...

The loudmouth shouldnt be much quieter than a cutout. Its a straight through design with no muffler. I like my magnaflow. Its not very loud but it has a very nice tone. Borla is louder and flowmaster is deeper. I have never heard a loudmouth.

IMO, the LM and Magnaflow are two totally different exhausts when it comes to sound.

The Loudmouth is kind of like an in-your-face loud while the Magnaflow is more reserved and deep.

They're both good, just listen to each one before you buy.

Cool

Maybe we need to start up our own media section for LT1s' exhaust sounds...And we can hear it right here instead of depending on another board, and a hundred more posts like this won't be presented..my .02 cents...
