little pastic/rubber thing on T-tops

Mine is what looks like it is cracked and one side lifts up, this is the little pastic/rubber thing between the tops at the front. it just looks like it is cosmatic and not really functional, and there is no leaking in the car. I was just wondering what goes into fixing/replacing it! I have sen a few f-bodies at the tack with a similar thing going on, so I assume thid is common.

If you're talking about what I think you are there is one at the front and back of the center guide. I had my t-tops broken into and had to replace the center guide, the replacement was missing the rear one. I took my old one off by heating it with a hair dryer, and carefully prying it off. After that It was just glue it on the new top guide. Good luck finding just the plasitc piece w/o the whole guide.

i think that is the deflector? it is on the outside edge of the top correct. stock they are rubber. you can get a replacement that is a hard plastic holds up better. in order to change it you have to remove the rail that holds the weather strip for the top of the window so you will also have to buy a new weather strip for that. it is only a small section so don;t freak out it is easy to change. not that expensive. you can leave the strip ripped it does not really affect much.

Jeff,
Is this something I can just get at the dealership? or is there a better place?
Thanks,
John

I haven't had the one in the rear for about a year now. Wow, that just sounded really bad.
