Lighted Switches
Lighted Switches
Hello.
Are the driver & passenger door switches (locks & window) supposed to be lighted and/or illuminated?
(Thought I remember reading somewhere that they were supposed to be)
Thanks!

The switches themselves don't light up. There is a small light above the switches located in the top of the door handle bezel piece. If you look above the switches, you'll see what I mean. It just shines down on the switches. Not very bright but better than nothing.
Lit with a #74 bulb.
btw Shoebox, my Window rattles a bit after doing your Window Motor mod... I'm not sure if it has ever done this before as my memory is kind of vague but would the window motor being loose cause my window to rattle and possibaly fall?
Unfortunately, mine just so happened to break in the socket before it gave and twisted out, meaning I had to buy a new socket in which the dealer was going to rape me dry for... So instead, I cut the socket out and replaced them with White LED's from Advanced Auto (the accent lights for $8) They actually do a MUCH better job at illuminating the door panel INHO... I did happen to have one die prematurely on me for some unexplained reason though but it was easily replaced.

I was actually thinking that LEDs might be a better option. I'll check out what you are talking about at Advance Auto.
Otherwise another great source is: www.superbriteleds.com
