Ditto, They are removable bulbs. They are #74 bulbs. They are also the same size bulbs used in the HVAC panels. I ordered 5, #74 LEDS to do all the lights in my TA door panels and my HVAC. Try www.superbrightleds.com

I also had a hard time tring to remove this bulb. I picked up some new bulbs @ Autozone, now do you twist the plastic piece off? The end of the bulb looks like it's a wedge type why would you have to go counter and clockwise to that little plastic sleeve to replace it? It seems that you would have to just pull it to remove it, oh well leave it to GM to make things complicated.

They do it that way to make sure it can't rattle it's way loose or anything. It sorta sucks when you turn it the wrong way though and break it

Mission accomplished, piece of cake. The bulb went in no problem. No splicing or soldering needed.

Re: Light Bulb in Door

It was very simple, I wiggled the bulb a little bit and it came right out. You probably need to use a paper towel or tissue when pulling reason being is that my hands slipped tring to remove the bulb from perspiration because it's so @amn hot down here. Just have some patience it will come out. The whole job from start to finish, eight minutes tops.
