Left blinker doesn't work

just started this morning...

right blinker works fine...

left blinker... when i switch it on... just stays solid... no blinking or clicking.

and a friend told me that when he saw me drive by... my left blinker/running light was out...

is this a standard bulb i can get at napa? being really yellow and all?

and if i replace the bulb... will the blinker work again?

thanks ya!

Yes it is not blinking because the bulb is out, when you replace the bulb it will start working. The bulb can be found at almost any parts store, they normally have reference books that you can use to look up the correct bulb.

FYI - the bulb isn't yellow unless you or the previous owner installed clear markers with yellow bulbs.. If that is the case then you need to let us know and we can help you further, the way to tell is if the plastic lens is yellow then the bulb is clear, if the lens is clear then the bulb is yellow.

What he said...and its dual filament in the front. Just in case it comes on when your day time lights are on. And if it is the front...GL. Go from underneath it, makes it much easier. I think they run about 3-4 bux from Oreillys.

LOL same thing just happened to me 10 mins ago...yeah just replace the bulb and it should work, it looks like a PITA to get out though Even going through the botton looks rough, its gunna be cramped with the Air pump and all sorts of crap.

It just pulls out though right? Then you just replace the bulb then slide it back into place?

Yup, your bulb is out. $7 for two up here in Canada! 3457NA bulb number I think. You can reach it through your vent just underneath the signal lense...a quick 1/4 turn on the socket and it pops right out and then you can replace the bulb. That way you don't have to get underneath the car and unbolt the "trap-door". Take note if the terminals on the bulb are corroded at all and if the inside of the bulb socket is charred becuase mine were pretty much shot...I was getting little bits of moisture into the lense assembly and shorting out the bulbs...going through bulbs as much as 1 every two weeks!! Was getting VERY frustrated. I just ordered new lense assemblies with LED bulbs and I will be installing those tomorrow. Hopefully the LED bulbs won't emit as much heat as standard bulbs and won't warp the inside of the socket. One more quick note to mention...if you don't already use dielectric grease, use some!! Putting in a fresh bulb with some of this grease will most likely eliminate any moisture getting into the socket and then you won't have to replace the whole assembly like I have to and the bulbs will probably not short out as often!!

My $0.02!!
