Leaking fluid--Need Help

I've been away at college, and I come home to learn that the car leaked "some sort of fluid" and they caught it in a catch pan. Unfortunately it's rained several times since the leak so I can identify what sort of fluid it was. I checked the rad, engine oil, ps, and pb and all the fluid level seemed okay.

Any idea what it could be? The leak was uphill from the rear so it may still be the tranny, I'm afraid to start the car if the dipstick is lying and it's bone dry (since the car is parked on a hill, the dipstick probably isn't too accurate)

Roll the car to a level surface to check vital fluids. Maybe it is from the back of the trans, since it was sitting uphill. No way for anyone to tell you with certainty.

I had to take it to the shop. It was a punctured fuel line.
