Leak at firewall Grommet

I have noticed for the past few storms that my drivers side floor board would be wet. I have tracked it down to the wiring harness grommet underneath the steering wheel.Looks like their is only one screw at the top and nothing on the bottom. I haven't gotten around to going underneath the hood to check that harness, but are their a seal or something in between the plastic harness housing and the firewall? I may just silicon seal the heck out of it to be sure even if their is a seal on it.

How is water getting to that point of the firewall?

It's running down by where hood cable goes into the firewall and then it follows the body down by the grommet.I have to take the cowl off because it's leaking also,is that why their is water getting in there? There is alot of debris that has collected in the little corner by the hood cable.

Not sure I understand. There is a rubber gasket that seals the cowl to the inside surface of the hood. That should should stop water from entering above the firewall.

Yep,that seal is attached to the cowl with little plastic pins. The water is actually getting in between the cowl and the metal surface the cowl attaches to.

Anybody know the part number(s) for the pins that hold the cowl screen to the metal part? Local parts store ones do not work. Have tried to seal it twice and it still leaks.Looks like there was some sort of seal underneath it that has just went into pieces when I took it off.
