Launching with a tc?
I am going to go to the track one of these days and I've never launched a stalled auto before. I keep hearing people say that their 60's are lower and I wonder HOW!? I have no traction!! Should I flash stall it or foot stall it (with brakes pre load)????
I need some DRs too.
Any help is appreciated!

So in regards to my actual question, how do most people go about launching? Should I flash stall it or foot stall it (with brakes pre load)???? I can't just floor it with DRs can I?

Best thing to do would be to try it both ways, and see what produces the best results for your particular setup. Ditto with the pressure in the DR's. Each car is going to react differently, and the results will also depend on how well the track is prepped.

i find that a brake stand up to 1100 rpm and lower tire pressure. traction control retards the timing so thats a no no,traction off. to much rpm on the brake stand and the tires go up in smoke

I have a 3600 stall, 342 gears and 275/50/15 MT Drag Radials mounted on 15x10" Weld ProStars. Suspension is 100% stock
Like said above, ALL cars are different, so you'll need to experiment to see what YOUR car likes. MY car likes about a 5 second 1st and 2nd gear burnout, then roll up to the starting line and hold it at anywhere from 1300-1500 rpm's. On last yellow, I floor it, and this is what happens everytime.
(FWIW, my car has most bolt-ons, a baby cam, the above mentioned converter, and a tune.)
Driving the car around lately, with my "street" wheels and tires (17x9.5" ZR1's w/275/40/17 Yokohamas), traction is non-existent. If I am not careful, the car tries to darn near do a 180 anytime I nail it.
