knowlege in emissions needed.
I swapped in a 97 z28 drivetrain and everything needed for the swap into my 97 RS. So my car is still listed as a v6 but having a v8 in it. Will I have any problems there with emissions? Also, I have jethot lt headers. Right now my air tubes aren't hooked up because the headers are actually for a 95, so the fittings didn't fit. Do I need the tubes hooked up for emissions? If so, what size fittings would I need to go from the 95 headers to my 97 tubes?

Re: knowlege in emissions needed.
i think you may be screwed...i was under the impression engine swaps were illegal. unless they were factory swaps for the same or nearly identical engines.
you may have to just follow the emissions for that particular engine. in which case you'll need the AIR and cats. although i'm not sure you'd pass even then since it has LTs

As long as all of the equipment for the '97 V8 is present and operating, it will be fine. Different states/locales have different procedures for documenting the change, but non-California is typically straight-forward.
Replacement parts must be certified replacements. I don't know the specifics about the changes between 1995 and 1997, but you need to get the A.I.R. hooked up. Getting parts from a '95 would seem to be the easiest, but you may be able to get adapters from your local hardware store.
